Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries Company engages in the research, development, manufacture, and marketing of generic medicines and pharmaceutical preparations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally. Its product portfolio includes dermatological, respiratory, cardiovascular, alimentary and anti-infective, musculoskeletal, genitourinary system, and CNS products. It exports its products. The company has a collaboration with Bio-Thera Solutions, Ltd. to develop BAT2406, a biosimilar of Dupixent (dupilumab), a fully human monoclonal IgG4 antibody that inhibits interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) signaling by specifically binding to the IL-4 receptor subunit (IL-4R), a subunit shared by the IL-4 and IL-13 receptor complexes. The company was formerly known as Middle East Chemical Products Factory Company and changed its name to Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries Company in January 2006. Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries Company was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
